In My Begining

In my beginning there was near extinction... Sideshow performers were few; a dim flickering flame on a candlewick about to extinguish forever, and then came Jim.

This is the man who virtually brought back the circus sideshow and the grind shows from the very brink of extinction. He is the man who 20 years ago propelled me into this usual, some times surreal, yet historically grounded part of Americana, and my present day profession.

Jim, Bébé, Matt "The Tube" Crowley, Lifto, Enigma, and The Torture King …
Because of them I exist in my present professional form.

It has been a very long time since that infamous night of my teenage years when first contact was made. Since then I have crossed paths with most of them over time with out ever raveling the truth of my origins.

Only if they knew… I wonder what they would say…?

Back then the world was much tamer, nicer, and somewhat naïve place, the above mentioned ran ramped through out the world amazing, shocking, disturbing audiences, and and most importantly resurrecting an almost dead form of entertainment. All the while dropping small seedlings through out.

One of those seedlings became nested in my heart and grew… throwing deep roots with in my soul, and for the last 20 years shaping the performer that that I am today.

So thank you Joe, thank you Mat, thank you Beatrice, thank you Tim, thank you Paul.

And you Jim, especially you...  Thank you.
